We utilize methodologies across the entire research spectrum from highly exploratory qualitative methods through the most rigorous quantitative methods and advanced statistical techniques to deliver superior intelligence for our clients in the areas of brand strategy and innovation. We are experiencing significant growth and we need to add to our talented team. We are currently looking for candidates to fill the role of Senior Research Analyst/Brand Strategist in our Boston and Cincinnati offices.
It is our expectation that these Senior Analysts will, with minimal supervision, oversee the complete execution of research projects from field management through preparation of results, according to project design plan so as to meet or exceed client expectations. They will be expected to use their own experience, as well as direction from our Senior Strategists, to oversee project execution from field design, execution and management through analysis and preliminary reporting. This role requires interaction with clients, data collection vendors, internal project teams, and Senior Strategists. Additionally, the position will entail performing literature reviews on new methods for and outcomes of innovations in brand strategy and new product development.
Our ideal candidates will be excellent communicators, talented researchers, and organized, detail-oriented account managers with high professional standards and ethics. They will also possess excellent writing skills and the ability to make meaningful recommendations to clients.
Requirements:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in marketing research industry, including experience with a variety of qualitative and quantitative marketing research techniques.
B.A. or M.A statistics, psychology, economics, sociology, marketing, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
Strategic Thinking
Ability to apply market research to produce business insights and actionable results.
Ability to turn business problems into researchable questions.
Ability to translate research results into insightful business implications.
Strong understanding of core marketing processes, including brand strategy, advertising, and new product development.
Research Design
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of research design.
Analysis/Statistics
Ability to conduct and interpret multivariate statistical techniques and analysis drawing appropriate insights and writing a clear report that addresses business implications.
Proven ability to mentor and train analysts.
Project Management
Must have a proven track record of leading all aspects of projects to accomplish objectives, including developing analysis, reporting and research plans, providing oversight of data analysis and management of presentation development.
Serve as primary client contact.
Ability to handle ambiguity, high workload, and extreme amount of detail.
Ability to multi-task and flexibility to meet very strict deadlines.
Qualitative Project Leadership
Successful track record conducting qualitative interviews as needed: face-to-face, telephone, in-home/in-context, focus group/roundtable with client stakeholders, employees and customers.
Communication
Strong report writer, skilled in making quantitative topics accessible to non-statistical audiences.
Must have ability to present to clients and potential clients.
Client Service
Client first mentality, excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, consensus builder, good conflict management skills.
Solidify client relationships for all projects sold on assigned accounts. This includes meeting with clients in-person or by phone, proactively investigating client needs for ongoing and future engagements, and balancing needs of client with what is best for Brand IQ.
Business Development
Successful track record in business development with new and existing clients.
Cultivate new buyers by leveraging industry contacts, solution selling, writing proposals, presenting them to prospective clients, and closing deals.
Ability to demonstrate a strategic and analytical sales approach with focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with key strategic clients.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with key Brand IQ industries such as restaurants, retail, consumer goods, and financial services.
